Where is Lake Lahontan?
Lake Lahontan is in the center of Northern Nevada’s booming population. Reno, Lake
Tahoe, Carson City, Fernley, Fallon, and Silver Springs, are all close to an hours drive
from Lake Lahontan. Silver Springs, the gateway to the lake, has been undergoing a
unique growth spurt. It has the second longest airport runway in the state. Because of
population growth and over use of Reno’s airport, the state of Nevada is pushing
legislation and funding for this fledgling airport to support some of the overflow traffic from
Reno.
